Username and password

How do I login?

You can login from the homepage by entering your username and password in the appropriate fields. You will normally see this in the top-left colum of the home and other pages of the site.

I forgot my Username(ID)/Password. How can I retrieve it?

Click on the “Forgot your password” link in the home page next to the login section and on the next page enter your e-mail address you used at the time you signed up. Your password will be emailed to you. Make sure to check your spam section, incase the email did not end up there.

How do I change my password?

Login to Click on the “Update Profile” in the left column links and you will be presented with your profile information where you will be able to change your password. Once you have changed the password, please use the new password the next time you login.

Why is the message “Invalid Username or Incorrect Password” being displayed during log in?

The password you have entered might be wrong. Or you might have the caps lock “On”. Please check whether the password is entered in the correct case (Upper or Lower) Please ensure that there are no spaces in the Username typed. For example it should be ‘alihusain’ and not ‘ali husain’.If you have forgotten your password, please click on the “Forgot Password” link to retrieve your password.


How do I upgrade my profile?

BayNikah is a 100% FREE website and once you have joined you DO NOT have to upgrade or pay to use all the features.

How do I Sign-Up?

Click on the ‘Sign-Up Now’ link and complete the form by providing all the necessary details and then clicking on the Submit button. You will be emailed information on activating your profile. We do this to prevent anyone using other people’s email to sign-up.

How do I delete my profile?

To delete your profile, login using your “Username” and “Password”. Go to “My Profile” and there you will see a link to delete your profile.

Is it possible to restore the deleted profile?

A deleted profile from our database cannot be restored/reactivated.

What is hide profile?

You haven’t found your life partner but may be you want to come again later after a couple of months, then do not delete. You can temporarily hide your profile instead of deleting it. Hiding your profile makes you invisible to other users, you don’t appear in search and you have control when you want others to communicate with you. Hiding your profile is preferred over deleting because once you delete you cannot restore your profile.

Advanced Search is the most comprehensive search that searches across all criteria.

I get the error “No matching records found” while searching for the profiles. Why is that so?

Keep an open mind while searching for profiles and start of with a broader category search. Try not to be too specific at first because you might miss out on good profiles, then you can narrow down your search with additional criteria.
How do I make the most of this site?

There are a number of things you can do to get good results from Some of these include filling all the information in the Update Profile section. This makes your profile more interesting to other members and you will have a higher chance of other members contacting you. Also, make sure to add photos of yourself. If possible add more than one photo which gives users a better idea of yourself. Its been found that users who have photos of themselves are more likely to get responses that members without photos.

How do I report a User?

You can help us ‘police’ the site by reporting users that are trying to take advantage of the free service to solicit messages that are not in compliance with this site. Whenever you find a profile like this, please click on ‘Report User’ link and then type a few words as to why this user is a potential scammer or spammer and should not be on the site and then click submit. You need not copy or send us their usernames, because this comes to us automatically. All reported users are dealt with promptly.

Accepted Users/Blocked Users

Accepted users are users/profiles that you came across either through a search or from a message and you clicked on the Accept User link. This places the users/profiles in your own Accepted Users list. Blocked Users work in similar fashion and enables you to prevent other users from sending you a message. This list is found in the Blocked User list page.

Contacting other Members

One you are logged in you can send and receive messages from any members on the site. You can search for these members and then click on ‘Send Message’ to send them a message. The recipient will receive an email notifying them that a member has sent you a message and they will login to check the message you sent. They may reply or not depending on their interest.


How do I add photo(s) to my profile?

Login using your “Username” and “Password.” This will take you to the Members Home Page. Click on ‘Photo Album’ on the left where it will take you to a separate page where you can add your photos. If you have photos uploaded you will be able to view them here and the status of the photo. All photos are screened by the webmaster before publication.
To add your photo go to the Upload Photo section on that page and then click on Browse and locate the photo in your PC/Mac. You now have the option to make this photo public (visible to all the members) or private (you decide who to share the photo with). Click on Upload Photo to submit. Please allow a few days for the photo to become approved on the site. Make sure your photos are of the correct format ie. JPG/GIF/Png/BMP. You are allowed up to 6 photos in your profile.

I am encountering problems in adding my digital photo to my profile. What do I do?

Please send your photo as an e-mail attachment to in JPG / GIF format, along with your username and password. Please mention which photo should be added as the main photo. We will add the photo to your profile and send you the confirmation.

I do not have a digital photo. How do I add my photo?

If you do not have a digital (scanned) photo you can send your photo to any of our offices, with your username and password. Please mention which photo should be added as the main photo. We will scan the photo and upload it for you. This service is absolutely FREE. If you want your photo to be returned to you, please include a self-addressed envelope with prepaid postage.

Can I choose which photo should be displayed as the Main Photo in my profile?

Yes. You can manage your photos and choose what should be displayed as your main photo in your profile.

How do I change a photo in my profile?

Login using your “Username” and “Password”. This will take you to the Members Home page and click on the Photo Album link to see your current pictures which you can edit and delete. .

I got an error while uploading my photo. What could be the reason?

You could have got an error if your file is not in JPG /GIF format or if the file size of the photo is more than 100 KB. We accept digital photo files only in the JPG / GIF format and less than 100 KB in size.

In what size should I upload my digital photo?

The maximum size acceptable for a digital photo is 100 KB. If your photo is more than 100 KB, please email it to with your username and password. We will reduce the image size and upload it for you, absolutely FREE.
